To allow your unique and authentic point of view to come through you need to continue to make work. And I find the easiest way to do this is to attain a flow state. If you’ve ever been in a flow state, you know exactly what I mean, everything comes easy, and you don’t question anything you just let go and make art. There is no guessing, second guessing or re-doing, it’s all just part of the process. It’s a beautiful thing. I was blown away when I started really dedicating time to organizing all my work into one place and having all of the raw art at my fingertips. I started to realize that elusive “personal” style we all strive for as surface designers was right there in front of my face, I just needed to see it all put together. Working through the process, an artist will learn how to digitally file all of the raw art that goes into licensed art files. They’ll also learn how to organize and then showcase final files and will always know where ALL of the supporting art lives for a final projects.
