Part of the Long Walk Series, Well La Di Da is an 11x17 image printed on 100% cotton rag hot press paper.

The process of creating this image includes painting shapes and forms in gouache in my studio after long walks in my neighborhood. I enjoy paying attention to all the interesting shapes and forms in nature. Once I am done painting, I’ll scan in my work and begin processing it to create compositions with bold and energetic colors that capture the feeling of seeing these shapes in their natural setting. Well La di da has a special meaning to me, and if anyone knows the movie reference, then we’re probably best friends. But we also used this saying to come up with our youngest daughters name. Well la di da!
